Good Parents

Explanation: Simple and sweet. Two people who may or may not be married, heck, even be in a relationship within the story, who nonetheless are good parental figures to a third, younger character. The younger character doesn’t have to be biologically related to either of them, but if they both provide quality emotional care, physical care, discipline, and mentorship like a parent, it works. Though a dysfunctional, absent, incompetent, or neglectful family provides more fuel for conflict in a plot, I love a happy family, blood or otherwise. The characters don’t have to be perfect, but they do have to be good.
Good parents are usually good at teamwork and rarely let conflicts between them get of hand. Because they’re often looking out for one or more other characters, they tend to be less self-involved and selfish. I think these are important traits to have in a relationship with a life partner
Examples:
- Yor Briar and Loid Forger from SPY X FAMILY
- Linda and Laurence from Phineas and Ferb
- Bob and Helen Parr from the Incredibles
- Hektor and Andromache from The Illiad
