Hello everybody! It’s Ms. Coconut! Since it’s almost February and Valentine’s Day is coming up soon, I’ve decided to share some relationship dynamics I really like. I don’t own the image used in this.
Many Siblings x Only(or smaller family) Child

Explanation: I just really like this dynamic. Technically the person with a lot of siblings could be a middle child or the youngest but I like it best when they’re the eldest sibling. When they’re the eldest sibling, they often have to take care of their younger brothers and sisters. Having the younger siblings present is a good way to show how mature and caring the character is. If they’re good at handling their siblings, it also shows how good of a potential parent they would be which is very attractive.
Interactions with the younger siblings also give the only child a chance to show their good points as well. If they’re okay with the siblings tagging along occasionally and even helping their partner with caring for them, they also show their potential as future parents. Also, it’s generally a benefit to a relationship if family members like your partner. Having the only child get along with the siblings can give a heartwarming sort of “found family” feel, especially if the only child has been shown to be a lonely person previously.
Examples:
- Elodie and Kol from From Monochrome to Vibrancy were going to be this
- Shu and Satou from Castletown Dandelion
- Tanjiro (tecnically) and Kanao from Demon Slayer
- Calvin and Meg from the Wrinkle in Time Series
