A young man lives alone in a villa on the outskirts of a small country town. He lives in almost complete seclusion. He’s a boy of sixteen, left in his parents’ vacation home after a breakdown from extreme bullying. He has developed a fear of people and rarely leaves the property. The only people in town that have seen him in person are his tutor, groundskeeper, and maid, leaving the boy a mystery to most of the townspeople. What does the boy do, holed up on his family’s extensive property? He takes care of his animals: A golden retriever, a cat, a horse, an alpaca, an iguana, a cockatoo, an axolotl, a betta fish, and two mischievous ferrets. He loves them, and they love him too. However, one day while taking his horse out for a ride in the woods, the boy accidentally disturbs the home of a mischievous fairy. The fairy, seeing an opportunity to cause trouble, followed the boy and horse home. Upon seeing the many animals in the boy’s care the fairy decides to cast a spell on them. The next morning, the boy awakes to find that his pets have now become people. Even as humans(sans their residual beast features) they still love their master. Will this sudden change of pace rehabilitate their timid master?
