So I, Ms. Coconut, read a lot of manhwas (Korean comics/graphic novels), particularly manhwas about nobility in fantasy worlds, and I’ve noticed that there are certain assets that I frequently used in the art of the manhwas. In particular, every time there’s a crowd scene with a bunch of nobles (usually at a ball or party) THESE GIRLS always show up!

I see them everywhere! They’re almost as constant as that castle with the arch!

So what if, the reason why they appear in so many different manhwas is that they’re dimension hoppers? In their first life, they were two teenage Korean best friends who were huge fans of romance games, novels, and manwhas. After dying in an accident, they were both reborn as background characters in one of the novels they read.

Because they were best friends and they died together, their souls are forever bound to each other and they can always find each other when they enter a different world. They have the ability to jump between worlds at will, however, the drawback is that whenever one of them dies in a world, the other dies too, forcing their souls to reincarnate as babies in the next world.

Together they witness the events of their favorite stories and provide commentary, keeping a distance from the main characters to avoid interfering. That is…until they accidentally change one of the stories and are forced into the limelight.
