Hello! I’m back again with “From Monochrome to Vibrancy” content. Since I shared all of the chapters I wrote for my unfinished story, I’ve decided to give you guys a better grasp of what I had planned if I had continued writing the story. This may be the last post I make about Monochrome, unless I take to writing it again or draw the characters.

Most of these mini-plots were written around 2017-18 when I was in high school. Looking at them now with a more mature mind, there are definitely some I would scrap or alter. Those I would scrap will be highlighted in red. The rest are extra notes I had about the story that I wanted to share.

Mini plots 

Talent show: Arcene signs up and spends weeks practicing Yume Sekai with the help of Lyra. However, before the performance, her sister gives her a cupcake that she got from a girl she doesn’t like. The cupcake turns out to have laxatives in it and Arcene misses her performance because she is stuck in the bathroom. She begins crying when her classmates find her and realize what happened. Lyra then tells her to get on stage and perform even though her classmates are the only ones in the auditorium. She sings and as she does Dinari appears to watch. (January)

High School Dance (February)

Teacher’s Birthday: The students cosplay and make cupcakes for their teachers birthday.(May)

Beach Episode: Spring Break at Primrose’s beach house. (April)

Valentine’s Day: The class comes up with their own personal pick-up lines, have a blushing contest, some of the give out chocolates, some go on dates, and some of them get valentines (February)

Arcene’s Birthday: It’s in October and it will be the first time she has had a birthday party and the first time in a while she has got something she has actually wanted. This inspires her to work hard to gain allowance so that she can get them presents on their birthdays. (October)

The Athletics Festival/Field Day (March)

Picture Day: It’s when Arcene finally realizes why nobody thinks her classmates are weird as she looks at their pictures.(September)

Halloween: Nightmares show up and Azlyn reveals her power as a dreamscaper. Members of the class see their worst fears. (October)

Science Fair (April)

Arcene tries to kill her sisters: Arcene gets triggered when one of her parents finally openly shows their disappointment in her by saying “Why can’t you be like your sisters?” To her. Her eyes are a stormy gray the next school day and that night she puts sleeping pills in her family’s food and attempts to stab her sisters in their sleep. She is stopped by Dinari who was warned by Damien. (April)

Marcella’s mom shows up at the end of the first marking period (November)

Thanksgiving (November)

Ride on the Wild Side: Arcene joins Raphael on a night on the town despite her better judgement. He hasn’t been in the area long but he has already made bad company and has done multiple illegal activities. He convinces her to drink and she gets drunk. He drags her into trouble and she gets hurt as a result. After the incident, Damien becomes concerned for the two and get more involved with them. (October)

Elodie gets a boyfriend. This rubs Kol the wrong way but he is supportive. The boyfriend later breaks up with her due to getting bored. (November-Early February)

Gender Spell Mess Up: Henry is practicing out of a spellbook and accidentally casts a gender changing spell on the class (November)

Primrose gets Kidnapped: Primrose decides to walk home with Arcene after staying late after school. They take an isolated detour and Zinnia gets kidnapped. (December)

Raphael gets jumped by some guys he made enemies of. He’s put into a coma and almost dies. Damien saves him by exorcising the demons out of him. Afterwards, Raphael becomes kinder and is closer to Damien. (February)

We need to talk: Azlyn tries to get Kol and Elodie and Charmant and Aerith respectively to talk out their differences by locking them in two closets. Through a communication error, Charmant and Elodie end up in one room with Kol and Aerith in another. Azlyn decides to work with this and the two groups talk. (January)

The pairs have a fallout (January)

Kol and Chase decide to have an all out fight to the death and we find out why Chase always tries to kill Kol (March)

A Museum field trip on Koobla’s birthday that ends with them seeing his grave

Babe-Sensei was supposed to have the ability to gain the powers of her cosplays. All of these characters are from various anime.

Ships

Kol and Elodie- They’re best friends from childhood. Kol has always loved and protected her while she was somewhat aware of his feelings but unable to understand her own. Once they reaffirm their friendship and she comes to terms with her desire for freedom, Kol lets her go. Whether they get together as adults is left in the air.

Charmant and Aerith- After him saving her, she has devoted her whole life to him and has worked hard to be by his side. They love each other but she knows returning his feelings isn’t the best for him. They eventually get married as adults after being separated for years.

Dinari and Arcene- Teased. They don’t ever date or kiss ,but some of their interactions are a bit intimate so they have a romantic friendship. 

Primrose and Kaage: Primrose gains a crush on Kaage rather quickly. Kaage, being a dating sim character has had to fall in love with same person over and over again in following the rules of the game. He is resistant to her attempts at courtship at first but eventually views the relationship as a chance to fall in love with someone he chose. They get together within the school year.

Lyra and Napsta- They both share a love of music. She’s outgoing, he’s shy. However, she is very friendly, if not a bit flirty,so he warms up to her. She’s not very fond of cocky, confident guys so his timid cuteness suits her well. They date within the story but part at the end of the year when he’s finally able to pass on.
