What I Learned: I’m Glad My Mom Died

What I Learned from reading I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy:

  1. Child performers are graded as good or bad depending on their ability to obey directors/handlers/producers/etc. and be who they want them to be: perfect. Which hampers their ability to voice their needs and self-actualize.
  2. Fame can be extremely dehumanizing.
