Concept: Wandering man takes people’s hearts and repairs them. His methods vary from sewing their pieces back together, smelting them, molding them like clay, and more. The time it takes for him to fix people’s hearts may vary. He could have a heart for years before it’s ready to be returned to its owner.

The story is mostly episodic until the first arc begins. The wanderer comes a town where a witch has stolen the hearts of many of the citizens and forces them to serve her. This takes away their ability to feel and love.  The wanderer sneaks into her mansion and steals back all the hearts. However, he also finds a heart of stone locked away in a safe. He takes the heart so he can mend it. After all the citizens have their hearts back, they run the witch out of town. 

The wanderer then moves on but little does he know, the witch is now stalking him because he has her stone heart. As she follows him and watches him care for the hearts of other people, she slowly learns to love again. This comes to a head when he encounters the cause of her stone heart: her mother.
