Hello party people! It’s your lovely Coconut here! I’ve decided to post a bit more about my previous project “From Monochrome to Vibrancy”. While I previously shared the Story Scrap for this title, Monochrome is actually a novel I started on previously. While I’m unsure if I’ll ever completely write the novel, I want to share the ideas I had for it with you all. Since I originally wrote the Story Scrap many years ago, I’ve also created a plot summary for the story. I hope you all enjoy it.
A girl lives a normal and bland life. In terms of her own traits, she is ridiculously average. She was so bland that she just faded into the background. She didn’t have any friends as those who tried to get close to her soon got bored and forgot about her. She is overshadowed by her siblings and her parents are always too busy for her. Despite her neutral mask, she was saddened by this, and the day her 8th grade year ended, she wished on a star to have an exciting life with friends. She spends her time alone for the most part until her freshman year starts. Upon getting to school she is surprised by a series of odd characters that have joined the 9th-grade class, and they all seem to set their sights on her. All throughout the year, she is taken on an adventure by one of her classmates, becoming closer to them and discovering her skill for drawing and writing stories as she records each adventure.
At the end of the year, however, most of them must return to their home dimensions. There are tears, but as she begs them not to leave, they fade as they are returned to their home dimensions. She spends another summer alone and when she returns to school the next year, each of the now missing students is replaced by new kids who claim to have been there last year and nobody remembers the old kids. The girl is deeply saddened by this and draws and writes stories about her old friends to cope. The other students see her work and are impressed. She begins to make new friends and gains the courage to make the best of her life after her previous experience.
There is also a behind-the-scenes plot of another person collecting all 101 of the Wishing Stars, forcing them into slavery, and becoming the most powerful person in the multiverse. The star that grants Arcene’s wish is the last one he needs. This star works behind the scenes in Arcene’s life, making it exciting while simultaneously searching for the other 100 stars. The secret enemy summons a cast of his own interdimensional characters to assist him. The climax of the story involves the main cast going on a mission to rescue the stars from him.
