Setting: The fantasy kingdom of Belafae and its surrounding countries in world of Gaia. It’s on the Navian continent. It is a world of magic and adventure. It is composed of many environments from icy mountain tops to sunny beaches to grand forests and plains. Various races live there including dwarves, elves, humans, Faunis, and various other fantasy creatures.

Plot

Our heroine lives in the “real” world. She lives with her mother, fraternal twin sister, and her mother’s boyfriend. She has become disillusioned with her life and has become withdrawn into the fictional worlds of anime, books, and games. She has a poor relationship with her mother and her boyfriend and has disconnected with her sister due to always being compared to her. She longs to escape from her dreary life and is given the opportunity when the god of the fantasy world teleports her out of her room and into the fantasy world, declaring her to be the Chosen One meant to defeat an evil warlord who is being patroned by an enemy god. In this world warriors join her party to assist her in her quest, all of them attractive males.

While she is doing this, in the “real” world she has gone missing. Her sister, worried about her, goes into her room and encounters the god who takes her to be with her sister. Upon her arrival, the sister unintentionally steals the attention of the party and pisses off the heroine. The heroine leaves the group upon having to come to terms that her fantasy life isn’t what she wants it to be and stops her efforts to stop the evil overlord. She goes on a journey and is forced to look outside herself. By doing so she comes to want to help people, not for the glory or money, but out of the goodness of her heart, finally being able to connect with her patron god. 

She comes back, only to find that her party and her sister have been captured by the Big Bad and her loss of faith prevented her patron from telling her. She goes to fight the Big Bad. She attacks the fortress and finds her party members but not her sister. They head to the boss room and find the Warlord keeping her sister hostage. The Warlord looks like the mother’s boyfriend. The heroine learns what the mother’s boyfriend had done to her sister and her fear of men because of it. She gets angry and fights the Warlord. She wins and rekindles her friendship with her sister.

The two are then presented an option to return to their world at the cost of leaving their new friends behind. The two make their decision together, unwilling to leave each other behind in either world. Upon learning that a new evil is already brewing, they decide to stay.

This story scrap is one I’ve put a lot of thought into. I imagined the story as being rather episodic in nature I have further notes on it, such as character profiles and sample plotlines. I think I’ll post them at a later date.
