I teleported back to my planet. When I saw the condition it was in my jaw dropped.
It was worse than it was before I left. The war between the Races had escalated, as did the one between the Forces and Elements. As I gazed upon them, I realized just how many of them were missing. Natural disasters raged all over the globe. Animals were going crazy. Peace had been extinguished.
Red hot anger flowed through my veins and I let out a screech that shook all of creation.
Everything stopped whatever it was doing and turned to me. I stood in silence awaiting their response. What they did next would determine their fate.
Seconds passed, but if I had the same sense of time as the people I had created, it would feel like centuries.
After the moment of silence, I heard their chanting once more. Tears bubbled up in my eyes and ran down my face. I had hoped with all my heart that it wouldn’t be like this. I had hoped that they’d see the state of the world without guidance and turn back to me.
Their hateful words were like daggers. They must have taken my tears as weakness because they chanted louder and mocked me. I stood stock still as I took their abuse, my nails digging into the palms of my hand.
I had heard enough when one of them shouted out above the rest.
“We don’t need your blessings, or you! You can take them back!”
As I heard these words my tears stopped. My expression was colder than ice. It was like the temperature in my universe dropped below zero all of a sudden. All of Creation felt it and paused in their chanting.
‘I don’t want to do this but….’ I thought.
“If that’s what you want……..then so be it.”
They only had a second to realize their mistake. I didn’t give them time to beg for mercy or apologize. I regarded them with a cold heart. One once warm and loving, was for the moment made of stone. With a snap of my fingers, I took away the biggest blessing I ever gave Creation.
Existence.
In a moment, everything I made was gone. I was once more alone in the Void. As I stood tears poured from my eyes once more.
“Perhaps I wasn’t ready to have a universe,” I said to myself before curling into a fetal position and letting out a loud sob, for though they grew to hate me, they were still my creations, and I had loved them.
I hope you enjoyed “All That I’ve Created”. I wrote this story back in 2015 and posted it on my Wattpad account. I decided to update it a bit. I have a picture of Dotis Zois I drew a long time ago. Maybe I’ll share it when I find it.
