Of Shades and Primaries: White

A collection of poems I made back when I had a fixation on colors and the personalities and meanings associated with them

White

I’m one of the Shades

The Primaries and Secondaries are my children, look at my fine young men and maids

With a little help from me you’ll make a wonderful bride

Such pure grace and beautiful stride

A clean slate and new beginning

A bright future is just a ahead dear, you’re free from your past sinning

Shall we make something bursting with creativity, something unseen and new

A new life with a new point of view.

Are you scared? Don’t worry, you can do it!

Though you walk through the darkness your path is moonlit.

Perhaps I sound a bit too optimistic ,but believe me

Wisdom favors those who have hope you see.

It’s good to approach it with the innocence of a child

But still, have some self control. You don’t want to be reviled.

Forgive me if I sound a bit too critical

Just like the others I am a person with faults that are pitiful

People can’t always handle me as I’m so stark and sterile.

They’ve called me bland and plain and whatever they will

The cold winter snowflakes and the pale moon that shines at night

Good morning, I’m WHITE
